METRIC SPIRAL POINT TAPS
Metric spiral point taps are used to machine tap through or in holes in a variety of materials. The spiral point's shearing action pushes chips ahead of the cutting action, reducing loading of the flutes. The first few threads are angled to push chips ahead of the cutting action. The straight, shallow flutes create a superior shearing action in a variety of materials.
