STRAIGHT BOTTOM TAPS

Straight bottom taps, also known as bottoming taps, are used to thread through blind holes, where a taper tap would not reach the bottom of the hole. They have a straight section at the end of the tap, with no taper, and are designed to thread all the way to the bottom of its reach. Only 1 to 1.5 threads will be tapered.
