PLUG TAPS

Plug taps, also known as second taps, are used to create threads in through holes with metal working machinery. They are often used when there is enough room at the bottom of blind holes. Plug taps are easy to start and provide a more complete set of threads than taper taps. They have about 3-5 threads, while taper taps have 8-10 threads.
